October 5 – 9, 2017

Up in the Air Life Presents: The New Orleans Foodie Experience.  Prepare yourself for an experience like no other.  This is a chance to explore one of the world’s most dynamic cities through the eyes of its exquisite cuisine. Personally curated by a native New Orleanian, this is not your ordinary Big Easy weekend. Join us as we take you on a journey of discovery through a cuisine that’s rich in both flavor and culture. You’ll eat to your heart’s content at a variety of local restaurants, learn how to make some of New Orleans’ most famous dishes, have a mixology experience you’ll never forget, and surround yourself with the timeless sights and sounds of the Crescent City. Laissez le bon temps rouler!

Welcome to The Big Easy! Arrive at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and proceed downtown to check into the hotel. Enjoy some free time exploring the vibrant city. A welcome reception bubbly toast followed by a group dinner will kick off a weekend fun and fabulous food!

Today we will start the day with breakfast at the iconic Cafe Du Monde, including beignets and cafe au lait. Following a French Quarter walking tour, enjoy the rest of the afternoon shopping and exploring while preparing yourself for tonight’s hands-on cooking class.

We will cut, season, and prepare a complete 4-course meal with an expert chef. Then, we will sit down and enjoy the delicious meal we just created.

Spend your morning sleeping in, getting to know other guests, and checking out more of the city. We will begin the day with a Classic New Orleans cocktail class that includes a light lunch. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the historic city and tasting a few more delicacies along the way. Tonight we will enjoy a multi-course chef’s table dinner with a native New Orleans executive chef and restauranteur. Prepare to taste some of the most exciting flavors that have made the city internationally known for it’s multidimensional palate and exceptional dining experiences.

There’s no better way to start off a Sunday in New Orleans than with a delicious farewell brunch to remember. Sundays are Fundays in the city, and we’ll make sure to keep the cultural experiences going. It’s your last night, so you’re free to explore on your own, or join your hostess for dinner and nightlife fun.

Enjoy your last day in New Orleans. Farewell, and see you soon!
