Jenifer Smithhas been providing relationship and sex advice to couples and individuals for five years. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Communications in 2007. While in college she hosted and produced a radio show on WIUP-FM called Lovelines. During her three-year duration on the show she provided advice on dating, love, relationships and sex. After college Jenifer wrote a relationship and sex advice column entitled “In Bed with Mahogany” for Jenesis Magazine. She was also the creative director for the Love vs. Sex February Issue for the online magazine. After four years of writing Jenifer decided to turn her passion of giving advice into a career in counseling.
Jenifer moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Miami, Florida to attend Barry University in 2012. In 2014, she graduated with a double Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling. While working on her degree Jenifer contributed to an article “39 Successful Dating Tips” in the July 2012 issue of Essence Magazine.
In 2016, Jenifer became a Board Certified Sex Therapist from the Sex Therapy Training Institute located in Miami. In April 2016, Jenifer became the Relationship and Sex Expert on “Hot Talk with Jill Tracey” on Hot 105.1FM. You can find her on their providing advice and insight on dating, love, relationships and sex to the listeners of South Florida.
In April, of this year Jenifer was featured in a book titled “YNGBLKPGH” by Brian Burley that features 125 young black professionals from Pittsburgh. The book encourages the upcoming generation to chase their dreams. Jenifer was honored in October 2017 as Legacy Magazine “South Florida’s 2017 40 under 40 Black Leaders of Today and Tomorrow.
