Selamat datang ke Malaysia! Upon arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) you will transfer to your deluxe accommodations. Depending on the time of your arrival, take to the streets to enjoy this beautifully vibrant city at your leisure. In the evening we will connect for a meet and greet to officially kick-off our Malaysian experience with a unique Welcome Dinner.

Rise and shine! Join us for a traditional Malaysian breakfast before our experienced bilingual guide takes us on a history tour of some of the unique melange of Chinese, Malay and Indian cultures that perfectly coexist. Kuala Lumpur has an attitude all on its own. This city is boasting gleaming skyscrapers, colonial architecture, charming locals, and a myriad of natural attractions. You’ll get a bird’s-eye view over Kuala Lumpur from the Observation Deck of the world’s tallest skyscrapers, the 88-story Petronas Twin Towers and visit famous landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Tower, King’s Palace, the National Mosque as well as Batu Caves.

Enjoy the breakfast buffet at the hotel and explore Kuala Lumpur on your own today with free time. Perhaps you’ll enjoy a walking photography tour with a professional photographer or visiting Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, in the lush, landscaped Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, or maybe take a stroll to Hornbill Park and visit a true tropical Malaysian rainforest, with its towering evergreen trees and see the magnificent rhinoceros hornbills. Even though you’re in the city center, it feels like a whole new world.

It’s time to say farewell to Kuala Lumpur after breakfast and departure to Penang. We’ll head to the airport for a quick 1 hour flight to the northwest coast of the Peninsula to Penang. Here you’ll enjoy a laid back island feel coupled with a big city experience. Penang is known as a culinary paradise. The city is encircled by gorgeous architecture and the traditional center of Penang is actually a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After we check into our lush accommodations, we’ll head out to show you our favorite hidden nightlife gems in the city.

After an amazing breakfast at the hotel, we’ll take you out on an epic day, exploring the nooks and corners of Penang, which is actually listed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Not a monument but the entire City! That’s how you really know there’s a lot to see and do. We’ve picked a few highlights of the city to show you what we love. First up, Penang Hill. Penang Hill is one of the most popular attractions and is the perfect escape from the bustling city. We’ll ride through the last patch of tropical rainforest in Penang to the peak of the hill on the funicular, take in the scents of the vibrant, protected flora and soak in the beautiful panoramic views of the entire island. 

You’ll also visit one of the largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, Kek Lok Si Temple. Divided into three zones, these sacred temple grounds are home to many temples, lush gardens, a seven-tiered pagoda which houses a stunning collection of Buddha statues and an enormous statue of the Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin. Penang is also known for its amazing street art. Many of the murals actually involve physical objects, encouraging you to interact with the masterpiece. strategically located in every corner of the city.

Today is your day to explore and check out all of the wonderful sights that make Penang such a magical place. One of the best ways to explore a city is to hop on a double decker to view some of the must-see attractions in a city. Experience the steepest tunnel track in the world via Penang Hill Funicular Railway and the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia!

There’s no better way to experience Malaysian cuisine than to take a Malaysian cooking class. Today, we will browse the food market in the fishing village of Teluk Bahang, explore, admire the fresh fruit, seafood and vegetables on display and learn how different ingredients are used in Malaysian cooking. Discover tropical spices and herbs at Penang’s Tropical Spice Garden, and gain insight into Malaysia’s spice-trading history. Afterward, it’ll be time to roll up your sleeves and prepare some of the country’s favorite dishes yourself during a hands-on cooking lesson.
